If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We point out that no level of data protection comparable to that in the EU can be guaranteed in these countries. For example, US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It therefore cannot be ruled out that US authorities (e.g., intelligence services) may process, evaluate, and permanently store your data on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions about personal data.

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data happened/is happening unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.

- If you have filed an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your and our interests. As long as it has not been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data - apart from its storage - may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from 'http://' to 'https://' and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

Cookies
Our websites use so-called 'cookies'. Cookies are small data packages and do not cause any damage to your device. They are either stored temporarily on your device for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
Cookies can originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain third-party services within websites (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or video display). Other cookies can be used to analyze user behavior or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process, for providing certain functions you want (e.g., shopping cart function), or for optimizing the website (e.g., cookies for measuring web audience) are stored based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent for storing cookies and similar recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively based on this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG); this consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. When deactivating cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.
You can find information about which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.

Mandatory statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Usercentrics is used to obtain the legally required consents for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively processing the requests addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.

5. Analysis Tools and Advertising
Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Google), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, duration of visit, operating systems used, and origin of the user. This data is assigned to the respective end device of the user. An assignment to a user ID does not take place.
Google Analytics uses technologies that enable user recognition for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g., cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.
The data transfer to the USA is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.
IP Anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
Browser Plugin
You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
More information about how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Google Adwords with Conversion Tracking
We use the Google AdWords advertising component and its conversion tracking in our website. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as Google.
Through certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active, Google guarantees that the EU's data protection requirements are also complied with when processing data in the USA.
We use conversion tracking to provide targeted advertising for our offer. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our website.
If you click on an advertisement placed by Google, the conversion tracking we use stores a cookie on your device. These so-called conversion cookies expire after 30 days and do not serve for personal identification.
If the cookie is still valid and you visit a certain page of our website, both we and Google can evaluate that you clicked on one of our ads placed on Google and that you were subsequently redirected to our website.
Through the information obtained in this way, Google creates statistics about visits to our website. We also receive information about the number of users who clicked on our advertisement(s) and about the pages of our website that were subsequently accessed. However, neither we nor third parties who also use Google AdWords will be able to identify you in this way.
You can also prevent or restrict the installation of cookies through the appropriate settings in your internet browser. At the same time, you can delete previously stored cookies at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on your specific internet browser. If you have questions, please use the help function or documentation of your internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support.
Furthermore, Google also offers

We use this function to display interest-based, personalized advertising on third-party websites that also participate in Google's advertising network.
The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our website.
To enable this advertising service, Google stores a cookie containing a sequence of numbers on your device through your internet browser during your visit to our website. This cookie anonymously captures both your visit and the usage of our website. However, personal data is not shared. If you subsequently visit a third-party website that also uses Google's advertising network, advertisements may appear that reference our website or our offerings there.
For permanent deactivation of this function, Google offers a browser plugin for the most common internet browsers at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.
The use of cookies from specific providers can also be deactivated via opt-out at http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices or http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.
Through so-called cross-device marketing, Google can potentially track your usage behavior across multiple devices, meaning you might see interest-based, personalized advertising even when you switch devices. However, this requires that you have agreed to link your browser history with your existing Google account.
Google provides further information about Google Remarketing at http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.

6. Plugins and Tools
YouTube with Enhanced Privacy Protection
This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited (Google), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, sharing data with YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the enhanced privacy mode. Thus, YouTube - regardless of whether you watch a video - establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network.
As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube can store various cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). This way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent fraud attempts.
After starting a YouTube video, additional data processing operations may be triggered over which we have no influence.
YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If corresponding consent has been requested, processing occurs exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 Para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) as defined in the TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.
Further information about privacy at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Google Fonts (Local Hosting)
This site uses so-called Google Fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. The Google Fonts are locally installed. A connection to Google servers does not take place.
Further information about Google Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Google Maps
This site uses the mapping service Google Maps. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Google), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
To use Google Maps features, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. When Google Maps is activated, Google may use Google Fonts for uniform font display. When you access Google Maps, your browser loads the required Web Fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
Google Maps is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings and to make it easy to find the locations we specify on the website.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/gdprcontrollerterms/ and https://privacy.google.com/businesses/gdprcontrollerterms/sccs/.
More information about handling user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
8. Own Services
Handling of Applicant Data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., by email, postal mail, or via online application form). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions, and your data will be treated strictly confidentially.
Scope and Purpose of Data Collection
When you submit an application to us, we process your associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes from job interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to make a decision about establishing an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation) and - if you have given consent - Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be shared within our company with individuals who are involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.
Data Retention Period
If we cannot make you a job offer, you reject a job offer, or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you submitted based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of application). The data will then be deleted, and physical application documents will be destroyed. This retention serves particularly as evidence in case of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the 6-month period (e.g., due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for continued storage ceases to apply.
Longer storage may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if statutory retention requirements prevent deletion.
